Training and Conference Facilities
Sheffield Assay Office offers a unique venue for training and conference facilities. Our headquarters here at Guardian's Hall have been purpose-built to meet our needs, and those of our clients, exactly. The ground floor of this impressive two-storey building is dedicated to assay, analytical and research services whilst the first floor is home to the spectacular hospitality suites, the library and our collection. We are throwing open the doors to invite you to join us here!
Training
The office is able to provide bespoke training for members of the trade or other interested organisations on Hallmarking and Consumer Protection legislation. A full package of regular update training is available on nickel legislation and conformity.
Conferences, Meetings & Events
The facilities at Guardians' Hall are such that we can offer you a choice of suite, whether it is for a small meeting or a gathering for 80 guests. Our rooms are also ideal as an exciting training or recruitment venue, or as an impartial venue for mediation.
All our facilities have full disabled access. Each suite is air conditioned with individual controls for maximum comfort. We provide a full range of catering options - from working breakfasts, buffet lunches to formal and celebration dinners. We are exceptionally proud of the service and facilities we offer here at Sheffield Assay Office Guardians' Hall and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Suite Dimensions
We offer a range of seating plans suitable for the nature of your event - from formal boardroom and classroom style to U-shape formation, cabaret-style, theatre and circular groups.
Special Rates on Overnight Accommodation
For visitors to Sheffield Assay office who wish to stay overnight, we have negotiated special rates with a number of hotels in the the city. We have selected good quality hotels with a range of rates to suit differing budgets and we will be able to give you details of the options available when you book your event at Sheffield Assay Office. To obtain your discount on hotel rates you will need to quote a corporate account number, which we will provide at the time of booking.
