2015 calendar update

19 Sep 2014

Jen Ricketts

We have now made the final selection of images for the Sheffield Assay Office 2015 calendar and the information has been sent to the designers so they can prepare the final version.

The calendar showcases the wonderful work that passes through the Sheffield Assay office to be tested and hallmarked every year and highlights the range of talented designers and makers registered with SAO. We give each of our customers a copy of the calendar every year as a token of appreciation for their business.

Two of the objects featured in the 2015 calendar have a Sheffield focus and are now part of the Sheffield Assay Office Precious Metal Collection.

‘Little Sheffield’ designed by Jen Ricketts and made from Sterling silver and Fine silver is currently on display in the reception of the SAO Starter Studio programme at Yorkshire Artspace, Little Gems Commission 2014.

Annett Petch‘Dog Rose Necklace’ designed by Annette Petch, was the winner of the SAO Jewellery Commission 2014 to design and make the first article to be tested and hallmarked at the new Sheffield Assay Office, Malpensa, Milan in May 2014. It is made from Sterling silver, with roses formed by chasing and repousse, and features a handmade chain and stamens formed from 18ct gold granules.

Look out for more information here about the calendar when it launches in November.
