Emma Paragreen celebrates becoming part of the JET set

16 Mar 2018

The Sheffield Assay Office is delighted to announce that curator, librarian and archivist Emma Paragreen has successfully obtained the National Association of Jewellers JET 2Diploma.

Emma attended the prestigious award ceremony at Goldsmiths’ Hall in London on Tuesday 13 March to collect her certificate, presented by the NAJ’s chairman Simon Johnson. She was one of 13 graduates from across the country to receive the professional jewellers’ qualification

Emma said: “I am delighted to have passed my National Association of Jewellers’ Diploma with a distinction. The online course has provided me with a clear understanding of jewellery and given me more confidence in the subject. It has been a great opportunity to read around the subject, become more aware of products, contemporary design, the market and the wider context of the trade. All of these aspects are very valuable to the business. I now look forward to being able to disseminate this information to my colleagues, customers and visitors.”

The awards were also attended by NAJ CEO Simon Forrester, NAJ Vice Chairman Harriet Kelsallthe Head of the Education Committee Heather Calloway and Kate Madelin, the NAJ’s Head of Education.

The JET programme offers the jewellery industry’s most prestigious professional development courses, which can help ambitious jewellers to learn from the best in the industry and to gain the knowledge and experience to help them climb the career ladder.
