Hallmarking Figures and Trends 2011 vs 2012

As precious metals prices continue to rise, the decline for Hallmarking reduces further.

In total 9,331,451 articles were hallmarked by the four UK assay Offices in 2012, by comparison this is a decrease of 14.1% from 2011.

This, on the most part, is down to a 20.8% drop in Silver articles of 1,260,628, Gold followed with a drop of 6.7%.

On a more positive note both Platinum and Palladium showed increases of 4.4% and 17.8%.
