06 Aug 2013

Chris Heaton has been the chairman since January 2012 and, in May 2010, he became the 30th person in history to complete the Brathay Challenge of 10 marathons in 10 days. In September 2013 he will be attempting to complete the biggest mental and physical challenge of his life, Challenge 30……

30 Marathons, 30 Days, 1 Man…… £30k.

He will be attempting to run a self-supported marathon of 26.2 miles every day for 30 days. He will be alternating between the extremely tough Great Langdale Marathon course (also known as the "toughest road marathon in the world") and Windermere Marathon course.

Chris is hoping to raise £30,000 for the Brathay Trust, a charitable organisation close to his heart, which works to improve the life chances of children and young people. Brathay Trust work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable and hard-to-reach adolescents, helping them to develop confidence, become motivated and learn skills to unlock their potential leading them to make positive changes in their lives.
