We were delighted to hear that Coralie Turpin had received a special commendation in 2022, the Keith Hayman Award for Public Art. Coralie used resources in the library and archives here at Sheffield Assay Office to help inspire her award-winning art.

On December 27th, the annual Mary Parsons charity service took place at Sheffield Cathedral, remembering and honouring the silversmiths and metalworkers of the city of Sheffield.
The Chester Mark - Re-registered at Sheffield Assay Office

Last year, we announced that Chester-based designer Lucy Quartermaine had chosen to work with us here at Sheffield Assay Office. We were also delighted to re-introduce the Chester Town Mark which had become dormant since Chester Assay Office closed it’s doors in 1962.
