Sheffield Assay Office Takes on the Master Cutler’s Challenge

Sheffield Assay Office is proud to be taking part in the Master Cutler’s Challenge 2026, raising funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity.

The Master Cutler’s Challenge is a regional initiative that brings together organisations from across Sheffield and South Yorkshire to raise money in support of a chosen charity. This year’s challenge focuses on improving cancer treatment and care across the region, making it a cause that touches many of our colleagues, families, and wider community.

As part of our contribution, we are organising a sponsored walk and inviting staff to get involved.

Behind the Hallmark: York Students Experience Assaying in Action

Camden Market trader pleads guilty to £100,000 of illegal silver

On Friday 5 February 2026, Ms Li, the proprietor of Little Swan, Stables Market, Camden, pleaded guilty to four breaches of the Hallmarking Act, 1973, at Camden Magistrates court following the seizure of £106,050 worth of silver jewellery without hallmarks by Camden Trading Standard
