The Secretary of State is seeking to appoint three new Council Members to the British Hallmarking Council. 

Analytical Services Senior Technician, Sophie Langley married fiance James on Saturday 4th May at Kelham Museum in Sheffield.

After 25 years of service to the Sheffield Assay Office, our Production Manager, Danny Smith has now moved on to pursue new directions on the other side of the Pennines.  

This month the British Hallmarking Council said a fond farewell to Secretary, Sue Green, who has made a tremendous impact on the running of the organisation.

Keith Tyssen, a well-known designer silversmith, especially to us here at Sheffield Assay Office, celebrated a landmark birthday this weekend, reaching the ripe old age of 90!
