The Sheffield Assay Office 250th anniversary celebrations drew to a close with a showstopping party on the evening of Wednesday 20 November at our premises.

Staff from the Sheffield Assay Office were delighted to attend the Benevolent Society’s Annual Christmas Ball on Thursday 5 of December at the Grand Hotel, Birmingham.

Please note that the Office will close for the holidays on Friday 20th December 2024 and will reopen as normal on Thursday 2nd January 2025.

The Analytical Services department of Sheffield Assay Office has recently taken on three new students on work placements as they work towards their university degrees.

It was a pleasure to represent Sheffield Assay Office at the CW Sellors Christmas Wishes Showcase over the last two weeks – an annual event where members of the public can explore beautiful jewellery, exquisite diamonds and luxury timepieces presented by esteemed brands.

Sheffield Assay Office designed gold-plated, solid silver medals for the courageous recipients of the prestigious National Police Chiefs Council’s annual Police Public Bravery Awards.
