We are proud to be a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). The RJC is a standards-setting organisation that was established to advance responsible ethical practices throughout the diamond, gold and platinum group metals jewellery supply chain. The RJC has developed a benchmark standard and credible mechanisms for verifying responsible business practices through third party auditing.

The Sheffield Assay Office team were delighted to take part in the judging of this year's Goldsmiths Craft & Design Council Awards. Assay Master Ashley Carson and Curator Emma Paragreen were part of a panel that judged the award for 2D Hand Rendering, sponsored by the office.

A New Year, a new date letter and a new commission for Sheffield Assay Office’s collection. Assay Master, Ashley Carson has commissioned Dinner for 3 from Silversmith, Nova Smith. Dinner for 3, a kinetic candelabrum is the first piece of the year to be marked with an ‘A’ at the office.
