Sheffield Assay Office Takes on the Master Cutler’s Challenge
Published: 17th April 2026
Sheffield Assay Office is proud to be taking part in the Master Cutler’s Challenge 2026, raising funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity.
The Master Cutler’s Challenge is a regional initiative that brings together organisations from across Sheffield and South Yorkshire to raise money in support of a chosen charity. This year’s challenge focuses on improving cancer treatment and care across the region, making it a cause that touches many of our colleagues, families, and wider community.
As part of our contribution, we are organising a sponsored walk and inviting staff to get involved.
Route Overview
The walk will begin at Endcliffe Park, heading through the scenic Mayfield Valley, following Porter Clough and alongside the Porter Brook.
We will continue towards the Norfolk Arms at Ringinglow, before crossing and walking through Lady Canning's Plantation, reaching Ox Stones.
From there, the route heads towards Burbage Edge, before crossing over to Stanage Edge.
We will then descend from Stanage, passing by Brookfield Manor, and continue into Hathersage.
The route is approximately 9 miles and includes varied, moderately challenging terrain.
