This month the Sheffield Assay Office team gathered at the OEC to celebrate the end of another busy year — and the festive spirit was definitely in full swing!
The evening was filled with fantastic food, laughter echoing across the room, lively conversation, and the rare delight of seeing everyone together away from the daily grind.
Everyone scrubbed up well, looking their festive best, and many shapes were being knocked out on the dancefloor!
Glasses were raised, stories were shared, and — in true holiday spirit — a few seasonal germs may have made an appearance. All part of team bonding, naturally!
There were also some unforgettable moments: numerous Jäger Bombs generously supplied by Callum, and of course, Andy G’s dance moves that had everyone cheering (and perhaps slightly jealous).
More importantly, the night was a chance to show our heartfelt gratitude. The dedication, resilience, and professionalism displayed across SAO this year has been outstanding. the event was about celebrating all that hard work, making memories, and enjoying each other’s company.
As we head into the Christmas break, we hope everyone takes the opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy some well-earned downtime.
The Assay Office will close on Tuesday 23rd December at 12 noon and reopen on Monday 5th January 2026.
Thank you all for your incredible efforts, positivity, and teamwork throughout the year. Wishing you a joyful, restful, and very happy Christmas — see you in 2026!
