Early Hall Service To Be Reinstated

Published: 8th November 2021

After making the difficult decision to suspend our Early Hall service due to an unprecedented volume of work, we are delighted to announce that this service will now be reinstated.

The temporary suspension of Early Hall has enabled the team here at Sheffield Assay Office to catch up and also reduce lead times for many of our valued customers. This has been a successful decision and we are pleased to say that from Monday 15th November, the service will be re-introduced and will remain in place all the way to Christmas.

Our Assay Master, Ashley Carson spoke of the good news, saying: "I would like to thank everyone for their understanding during these times and for working with us so patiently as we get through the volumes of work currently being submitted."

If you have any further questions about Early hall and our current lead times, don't hesitate to get in touch.

The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Sheffield Assay Office is one of only four UK assay offices who all work to uphold the Hallmarking Act of 1973 and continue to ensure consumer protection for customers purchasing precious metals.
