Applications are now open for the Elements: Festival of Jewellery, Silver and Gold 2021.
The Elements Festival is an annual celebration of the UK’s most significant designer jewellers & silversmiths. Held each November in the stunning Lyon & Turnbull auction rooms in the heart of Edinburgh, Elements brings together the finest UK-based designer-makers for a selling fair, an exhibition and a series of events.
To be eligible to exhibit at Elements, you must meet the following criteria:
- Currently living and working in the UK
- Represent yourself, sell only your own work, and not act as an agent for others.
A range of materials and styles are welcomed, but work sold at the Elements must:
- Be made of precious metal, although other materials can be included
- Be compliant with the 1973 Hallmarking Act
- Be handmade or small-scale batch production
The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Sheffield Assay Office is one of only four UK assay offices who all work to uphold the Hallmarking Act of 1973 and continue to ensure consumer protection for customers purchasing precious metals.
