Local Silversmith Represents Sheffield at Shine 2021

Published: 19th October 2021

When The Goldsmiths’ Centre announced the line-up for Shine 2021, its new Jewellery and Silversmithing showcase, Sheffield Assay Office were delighted to see that Josephine Gomersall had been selected as one of thirteen makers to showcase her work.

Back in 2018, Josephine had been commissioned by the Sheffield Assay Office to produce a piece of work for the collection whilst she was on the Starter Studio Programme for Silversmiths and Jewellers at Yorkshire Artspace.

Since then Josephine has flourished, developed her practice and grown her business even during the Covid-19 pandemic. A physical display can now be seen at The Goldsmiths’ Centre, Shine 2021 presents new collections of cutting-edge work and celebrates up-and-coming UK designer makers.
