North Star Competition 2023 - Now Closed

Published: 9th June 2023

As proud sponsors of this year's Goldsmiths North, we are delighted to announce that this year’s North Star competition is now open online! The Goldsmiths North exhibitors have entered some stunning pieces of jewellery and silverware this year and you can view them all now on Instagram. Make sure to vote for your favourite maker to be in with a chance of winning their Star Piece.

If you missed it last year, here is a reminder of how it works and how to enter:

Before the fair:

Each participating exhibitor has selected a piece of their work worth up to £1,000 to enter into this year’s North Star competition. You can view all the Star Pieces on our Instagram account and on the Instagram feed on our website.

During the fair:

During the Fair, exhibitors will mark their chosen piece in their cabinet by placing a star next to it. As you make your way around the Fair, look out for the Star Piece in each cabinet. If you spot one you like the look of, why not ask the maker to take it out of the cabinet for you? Try it on!

After the fair:

To be in with chance of winning your favourite Star Piece, all you have to do is fill in our quick online entry form. Entries will close at 4pm on Sunday 9th July. A winner will be selected at random after the Fair – if your name is selected, you’ll win the Star Piece you voted for!

How to enter:

  • Browse all the Star Pieces on the Instagram app by looking for the hashtags #gn2023 #gnnorthstar. Alternatively, you can view the pieces on the Goldsmiths North website here.
  • Visit Goldsmiths North to meet the makers and try on your favourite Star Pieces.
  • Choose your favourite Star Piece.
  • Fill in our quick online form to be in with a chance of winning your favourite Star Piece.

The North Star 2023 competition closes at 4pm on Sunday the 9th of July 2023.
