Sheffield Assay Office Attends Manufacturing Supply Chain Exhibition

The Analytical Services division of Sheffield Assay Office were delighted to exhibit at the Manufacturing Supply Chain Exhibition sponsored by Corrosion Resistant Materials at the Barnsley Metrodome this week.
Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber provided a great opportunity to raise the profile of the local Manufacturing Industry. This event brought together local businesses that are at the heart of manufacturing and organisations who supply directly in to this industry.
Businesses were able to gain knowledge and insights from industry leaders, discover new solutions and technologies to sustainably improve manufacturing operations, network with other professionals in the field, find new local suppliers and subcontractors, and stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments.
There were various stands representing a wide range of local Manufacturing Supply Chain organisations, enabling manufacturers to meet local suppliers who can support them to develop business opportunities and growth in the region.
Our Analytical Services laboratory stand was very busy increasing the awareness of our range of testing capabilities to other exhibitors and delegates.
Our UKAS accredited laboratory is able offer full chemical compositions to numerous enterprises within the manufacturing sector such as metal trading, fabrication, 3D printing, medical devices and more.

The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Sheffield Assay Office is one of only four UK assay offices who all work to uphold the Hallmarking Act of 1973 and continue to ensure consumer protection for customers purchasing precious metals.
