Sheffield Assay Office Steps Up for the Master Cutler’s Challenge

The Sheffield Assay Office team recently swapped the workplace for walking boots to complete a sponsored walk in support of the Master Cutler’s Challenge 2026.
Starting at Endcliffe Park, the approximately nine-mile route took the team through the Mayfield Valley, Porter Clough and Lady Canning’s Plantation before continuing across Burbage Edge and Stanage Edge and finishing in Hathersage.
The varied terrain made it a challenging walk in places, but everyone kept going and enjoyed the opportunity to spend time together outside work while supporting an important local cause.
This year’s Master Cutler’s Challenge is raising funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity and its vital work supporting people affected by cancer across Sheffield and the wider region.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and grateful to all those who have donated, sponsored the walkers and sent messages of encouragement.
