Sheffield Hallam University, BA Jewellery, Materials and Design Assay Master’s judging and award 2025.

The Festival of Creativity - Product Design, Interior Architecture & Design, and Jewellery, Materials & Design Degree Show

This year 4 students each following their own path and evolving their practices in the subject were assessed.

Curator Emma Paragreen said "The students are to be congratulated for their commitment shown in bringing this show together, and Sheffield Assay Office were delighted to celebrate with them their achievements and award a prize".

Assay Master, Ashley Carson said "The sketch books and the sample were most interesting, it was great to see progression of an idea, experimentation and development of the work clearly and there was plenty of explanation". 

 A prize was awarded at the opening event at Trafalgar Warehouse, Sheffield to Tyler Stothard- Asher by Guardian Chris Knight accompanied by fellow Guardian’s Duncan Campbell and James Frampton.

Tyler is the winner of the Graduation Prize for Execution in Design for his work Intangible: The threads that bind us all. He wins a prize of £300.

Chris Knight said "Many thanks again for sponsoring a prize for our BA JMD students. The evening was a great success, and the students were very excited and appreciative of the prize and your support of materials, free registration and hallmarking from Sheffield Assay Office."

On behalf of the Office, congratulations to them all, for their future careers.
