Vicenzaoro’s 70th Anniversary Breaks All Records

The 70th edition of Vicenzaoro took place in January 2024 and the event was a record-breaker! There was a 3% increase in attendance over January 2023, which had already been the best attended fair to date. 60% were International Buyers from 141 countries with 1300 exhibitors across all product types.

It was great to see so many visitors at this year’s exhibition with suppliers travelling from many of the jewellery producing countries across the globe.

Our Business Consultant, Sarah North, attended the show on our behalf to meet up with current and potential customers.  Meetings took place with the NAJ (National Association of Jewellers) and RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council) with whom we collaborate and the retail publications.  It is great to understand the potential there may be from those looking to enter the UK market.

Many UK retailers and manufacturers were also there to meet suppliers and understand the new trends entering the market.

Throughout the event, a number of seminars took place discussing the importance of sustainability, which is an area that the team here at Sheffield Assay Office are always striving to improve. There were also many opportunities to network throughout the whole event.

It has always been a massive event to start the New Year and it was fantastic to see that Vicenzaoro is well and truly back.
