We recently commissioned a commercial Energy Performance Certificate, which is an assessment used to show how green and energy efficient a company is. We are delighted to say that Sheffield Assay Office received a Grade A!

On Tuesday 16th May, an event was held at Sheffield's Botanical Gardens, celebrating the recent refurbishment of the pavillions and garden fountain. Sheffield Assay Office were delighted to suport this important conservation work.

If you've visited us here at Sheffield Assay Office recently, you may have noticed we've had a bit of work done. We are delighted with our new solar panel installation from Custom Solar Ltd, meaning we can continue to be as green as possible. It's also great to see that Custom Solar Ltd have won an award for their energy efficient work!

On Sunday 7th May, our Assay Master Ashley Carson married his beautiful bride, Kate in an intimate ceremony at Fulwood Old Chapel in Sheffield.

Leading up to His Majesty King Charles III coronation on Saturday 6th May 2023, all staff here at Sheffield Assay Office will be starting celebrations early and our Office, including the Customer Counter, will be closed from 1.30 pm on Friday 5th May, reopening again as normal on Tuesday 9th May.

Celebrated jewellery designer, Lucy Quartermaine, returned to Sheffield Hallam University recently to talk to tutors and students and share insights, experience and knowledge.

The Silver Society is pleased to announce the launch of its annual prize for 2023. The prize of £1,000 will be awarded to an individual who is in the first 5 years of their silversmithing career.

The team at Sheffield Assay Office have had a busy month, attending prestigious events such as 'At Home with Silver' at the Marchmont Estate and the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Awards exhibition at Birmingham Assay Office.
