To help promote the importance of hallmarks, the British Hallmarking Council, along with the four UK Assay Offices, have created a new initiative - the Hallmarking Awareness & Online Learning award.

Lab Grown Diamonds are continuing to rise in popularity.  As a younger generation enters the diamond market, consumers are generally more price conscious and are gravitating to more suatainable products. However, these requirements now seem to be capturing a wider audience, especially with the introduction of certified stones on larger sizes.  

Across the global jewellery industry, the origins of diamonds and their traceability has always been at the forefront of discussions. In recent news, huge brand such as Cartier and Bulgari have taken steps to incorporate the latest developments in diamond traceability.

On Wednesday 1st June, Sheffield Assay Office will be closing at 2pm in preparation for its Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Available for the first time at this year's Goldsmiths North are several special dining packages, allowing you to sample the delights of The Dining Room, situated on the ground floor of Cutler's Hall.

Available on May 25th, a special edition of Country Life magazine will be on sale, celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Included in this special edition will also be information all about this year's Goldsmiths North - a special jewellery and silverware fair coming to Sheffield.
