Staff at Sheffield Assay Office received an appreciated chocolate surprise this Easter.

The annual Goldsmiths Craft & Design Council awards ceremony was held in London on 4th March 2024 and produced some excellent and hugely talented winners...

 After successfully bidding at a charity auction back in 2023, we were delighted to deliver the prize to our visitors, Catherine, Richard and Adrian - An in-depth tour of our state-of-the-art facility and lunch with our Assay Master, Ashley Carson.

Sheffield Assay Office were recently delighted to host a visit from members of the Merchant Adventurers of York. The party was led by The Master Cutler and Chairman of the Sheffield Assay Office, Mr Charles Turner DL, and Colonel Philip Bates, Clerk of the Cutlers Company.

A thoroughly enjoyable day of staff training took place at Silver Space, Yorkshire Artspace, when Sheffield Assay Office team members were able to gain appreciation for the great skill involved in jewellery making and silversmithing.

Recent additional upgrades to lighting and waste reduction are helping us strive towards even better environmentally friendly operations.
