This year, Sheffield Assay Office is extremely proud to be celebrating its 250th anniversary. We're delighted to see this milestone featured in the summer edition of The Jeweller magazine.

This month we were delighted to learn that the e-commerce website www.assergerrard.co.uk, owned by of one of our valued customers, and past Guardian and member of our Executive Team, Mr Chris Hudson, has been awarded the Assay Assured Accreditation. 

We recently commissioned a commercial Energy Performance Certificate, which is an assessment used to show how green and energy efficient a company is. We are delighted to say that Sheffield Assay Office received a Grade A!

On Tuesday 16th May, an event was held at Sheffield's Botanical Gardens, celebrating the recent refurbishment of the pavillions and garden fountain. Sheffield Assay Office were delighted to suport this important conservation work.

If you've visited us here at Sheffield Assay Office recently, you may have noticed we've had a bit of work done. We are delighted with our new solar panel installation from Custom Solar Ltd, meaning we can continue to be as green as possible. It's also great to see that Custom Solar Ltd have won an award for their energy efficient work!

On Sunday 7th May, our Assay Master Ashley Carson married his beautiful bride, Kate in an intimate ceremony at Fulwood Old Chapel in Sheffield.
