Emma Paragreen

Curator, Librarian and Archivist

BSc Archaeological Sciences, University of Bradford, MA in Museum and Artefact Studies, University of Durham, Professional Jewellers’ Diploma, The National Association of Jewellers

Emma joined the Sheffield Assay Office in 2006 to maintain, answer enquiries and make accessible the company's library, archives and precious metal collection. She is the editor of the Bradbury’s Book of Hallmarks and provides regular lectures and talks on the work of assay offices’, hallmarking and the law. She regularly works in partnership with other associated organisations in the trade to promote and encourage silversmiths, silversmithing, and jewellery. Emma is a Committee member of the Silver Society, member of the National Association of Jewellers, is a Director of the Association of Contemporary Jewellers and a Freeman of the Goldsmiths’ Company.

In her spare time Emma enjoys being creative she draws and paints and loves being outdoors, walking, cycling and running.
